Effective Monday, circuit courts in Ford, Livingston, Logan, McLean and Woodford counties will hear only cases involving criminal felonies, bond hearings, juvenile abuse/neglect, juvenile delinquency cases, petitions to rescind summary suspension and other emergency hearings. If you do not have a case in one of these categories, court authorities ask you do not come to court. Other procedural changes will be posted on the Illinois Supreme Court website.
Ford County Sheriff Mark Doran has issued notice that despite the Order from the 11th Judicial Circuit about court proceedings, other offices in the Ford County Courthouse are not effected. All county offices are open for regular business Monday thru Friday, 8:30 am 'til 4:30 pm. Most of the county offices can communicate with citizens with email and for that reason, the public is asked to avoid unnecessary trips to the courthoue.
