Cissna Park, GCMS bring home state basketball hardware

There's beaming pride throughout Timberwolf-nation today.  And there should be !  The Cissna Park Boys basketball team ended its season Saturday with a 2nd place finish in the IHSA Class 1A state tournament. 

Cissna Park ended a tremendous season, having been ranked #1 for several weeks at the Class 1A level.  Providence - St. Mel was too much for the Timberwolves in the championship game in Peoria Saturday.  The Knights were a 52-29 winner in the title game at Carver Arena.

The GCMS Falcons earned a 3rd place finish in the 2A division Saturday.  GCMS wrapped up its season with a 75-66 overtime win over Chicago-Corliss.  The Falcons wrapped up its most successful season in program history.
