A fatal crash involving a farm implement claimed the life of a 28-year-old Cissna Park man Tuesday evening. Illinois State Police investigated about 6:20 pm on Route 49 and Iroquois County Road 979 N.

Kevin Hansen was pronounced dead at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. Police said Hansen’s car slammed into the second of two grain wagons being pulled by a tractor. The tractor operator, 63-year-old Fred Hurliman of Onarga, was turning into his farm property when the Hansen vehicle hit the rear-wagon.

Hurliman was treated for minor injuries at Hoopeston Hospital.
