A crash in Iroquois County Saturday evening took the life of a 17-year-old Cissna Park student. Senior Colson Carley passed away from injuries in a single-vehicle traffic accident.

Grief counselors and clergy will be available to students and staff who need to talk. A vigil for Colson was scheduled for Sunday evening in front of the Cissna Park school.
Illinois State Police responded to Illinois Route 1 south of Iroquois County Road 1330 North, around 4:40 pm. According to the reports, a northbound motorcycle crossed into a ditch, struck a culvert, ejecting the driver.

Carley was transported to IMH in Watseka and later pronounced deceased.
