Two people were injured in a head-on crash Sunday afternoon in rural Champaign County.

Illinois State Police report 86-year-old Helen Hamrick of Cissna Park was westbound on U.S. 136 just before 1:30 pm when she traveled into the eastbound lane and hit a pickup truck driven by 86-year-old Dwight Snyder of Rantoul.

Both drivers were taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
Police said Hamrick was cited for improper lane use.
