Cold weather forces E-Learning for Indiana schools

The cold weather early today (Wed) had three area school districts on a 2-hour delay.  But then, officials leaned to an E-learning day.  South Newton, Rennsalaer and Kankakee Valley school districts were managing the extrme cold.  All three went with e-learning rather than bus students into the classroom.  Other schools were also on delays.

A sunny sky has developed but the extreme cold has temps in the low teens and wind chills are -10 or -15.  Further north, the wind chills were at -20 or more.  The cold will be around a couple days.  Caution is advised.  Frostbite can settle in within 30 minutes or less.
