Community Improvement Grants courtesy of Farm Credit Illinois

The Prairie Champions 4-H Club and Milford High School FFA chapter are doing their parts to improve Iroquois County communities.

Farm Credit Illinois recently awarded 60 4-H clubs and FFA chapters with $250 grants to pursue projects that are designed to make their communities better places to live.

The Prairie Champions 4-H Club will use the funds to renovate, update and clean the Buckley Lake recreation area. The Milford FFA chapter plans to use funds to repair and paint benches, a pavilion and basketball court at the Milford Community Park.

This is the eighth year that Farm Credit Illinois has funded community improvement grants, now totaling more than $60,000.
