Community Soup Dinner looks for future help >

It’s a community soup dinner – that maybe, could become a soup kitchen to accommodate people in need.

Watseka’s First Christian Church / Living Hope Church on North 6th Street is the setting for this Saturday’s 11/18 Free Community Soup Dinner. All are invited from 3 – 7 pm to enjoy some fellowship, with a goal to feed and help people who need a helping hand.

This Saturday’s event is a start for Cynthia Cross to jump-start what she believes is a community need…….

"I want to help where In can help. It's a concept I felt the Lord was calling for me to do,"  Cross says. "I think there's a need to ehlp homeless people and others in need."

It’s a Free soup dinner; freewill donations are welcome too.

Where this goes remains to be seen. Maybe future such-events could be monthly, weekly or even daily. It all depends on the idea is accepted.

But Ms. Cross knows there is a need here. Food pantries and churches do their things to reach out. This concept has potential………..

"If there's enough support, maybe a monthly or weekly kitchen become available."

Another resource can’t hurt. Helping the homeless and others in need is Cynthia Cross’ thinking process ----TO EXTEND SOME COMMUNITY LOVE.
