Kankakee Community College President Dr. Michael Boyd is among several education and healthcare leaders speaking at a press conference today (Thursday) condemning President Trump's funding freezes and budget cuts.  U.S. Congresswoman Robin Kelly is hosting the conference in suburban Hazel Crest (IL).  Kelly's office states House Republicans plan to cut $880 million from Medicaid.  Several elected officials, constituents in the 2nd District, and stakeholders in healthcare and education industries are expected to address the devastating impacts of budget cuts and funding freezes.
