SPRINGFIELD - Most of the state's non-emergency road construction is being lifted this weekend. The idea is to help cut back on congestion as people hit the road for the holiday.

The roadwork will be suspended between 3:00 p.m. Friday and midnight Monday morning. Work zone speed limits are still in effect though, and drivers are urged to obey the posted speed limits.
