Counterfeiting brings prison time for Potomac man

A Vermilion County man is getting federal prison time for counterfeiting.  Jacob Kirkley of Potomac was sentenced to 27-months in federal prison.  He pleaded guilty to manufacturing U.S. currency and passing it at two businesses.  Kirkley admitted that a Vermilion County deputy found over $20,000 in. U.S. counterfeit currency in his pickup truck in May 0f 2020.  He also passed the fake money at businesses in Danville and Tilton.
