COVID vaccine eligibility expands

As demand decreases for COVID-19 vaccinations in several Illinois counties, the state department of health is authorizing counties to begin vaccinating anyone 16 and older.  But appropriate vaccines are not quite available to all.  Only the Pfizer vaccine is permitted for those 16 and older.

The Iroquois County Public Health Department is expanding the COVID vaccine eligibility for Iroquois County residents 16 and over.  But the Moderna vaccine is only for individuals 18 and over.  Tuesday's (March 30) clinic at IMH is the Moderna vaccine only, so the clinic is only avaialble to to those 18 and older. The vaccine is avaialble by appointment only.  Contact the health department for availability 815-432-2483.

Livingston County is no0w vaccinating its residents and workers age 18 and older.  Moderna is the only vaccine currently available.  But the shipments of Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson vaccines are expected soon.
