Newton County, IN Sheriff deputy Brandon Schreiber has died.  A funeral procession, led by law enforcement, is transporting the Corporal from Carle Hospital.  Deputy Schreiber passed away this (Wed) morning.  He had suffered a gunshot wound during a shootout in Iroquois County September 1st.

The 5-year veteran of the Newton County Department had been in critical condition at carle Hospital.  The Indiana authorities alerted (WGFA) Tuesday that Schreiber was not expected to survive his injuries.  He was an organ donor and arrangements were being made.
