Crescent-Iroquois Grade School District voters agreed to deactivate. Voters Tuesday approved a referendum that’ll open the for its junior-high students (6-7-8 graders) to choose where they want to attend school ….either at Cissna Park, Iroquois West or Watseka.

A referendum proposal to Deactivate was approved 353 – 108. (77 to 23% margin)

The District #249 school board held an earlier information meeting to let the community know how the deactivation works and to explain the district’s finances.
