Crescent City man arrested for stealing grain

25-year-old Zachary Robinson of Crescent City is free on bond facing a felony charge of theft. Robinson turned himself in at the Iroquois County Jail Friday. He was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant for theft over $10,000.

Robinson was arrested following an investigation conducted by the sheriff's office involving the theft of grain, corns and soybeans, from several victims between April and November of 2013. Police reports claim the grain was taken to a local grain elevator, where Robinson allegedly was collectively paid approximately $44,500.
