The Illinois Manufacturers' Association is recognizing CSL Behring the top manufacturing site in Illinois.  The state association named the Kankakee County bioscience operation the 2023 Manufacturer of the Year, citing the company's worldwide achievements in the global marketplace.

The CEO of the Illinois Manufacturer's' Association, Mark Denzler, says in a news release "CSL Behring's innovation and leadership in the medical circles is known."

“Their unrelenting drive and commitment to producing groundbreaking treatments for patients makes them an important part of the global healthcare community, and we are proud to recognize them as the very best of Illinois’ manufacturing sector,” Denzler said.

CSL Behring's Abner Garcia Degado said “Thank you for the tremendous honor of being named 2023 Manufacturer of the Year.”  The company vice president of manufacturing and Kankakee plant leader adds, “We are proud of the work we do to save lives and this recognition reinforces the impact we have locally and for our patients around the world.”

The IMA’s annual award will be presented at the annual luncheon this week in Chicago.
