The Village of Cullom will receive $2-million for a new water tower. The money comes from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. The State Revolving Fund program provides low-interest loans which fund wastewater, stormwater and drinking water projects. The EPA reported 11 municipalities received a share of the $75 million in water infrastructure loans to local governments and water districts.
Cullom's village leaders plan to replace an old 50,000 gallon storage tank with a 125,000 gallon elevated storage tank with the installation of a125 feet of watermain.
