A former vacant Carnegie Library building at Danville Community College is now the Dr. Alice Marie Jacobs Hall. Work crews completed renovations at the building to offer more meeting space on campus. Dr. Jacobs was instrumental in so many endeavors during her tenure as president of the college.
Current DACC President, Stephen Nacco, said the renovation so perfectly recognizes Dr. Jacobs involvement and successes at the college. Nacco said the renovated building is "a real tribute, just a beautiful place." The building will be used for multiple purposes. The DACC Foundation plans to hold its Donor's Dinner in the building in October.
