Daily-Journal Report: Manteno man arrested in Iowa for shooting in Kankakee County

Twenty-four year-old Gregory Tuggle of Manteno is in custody for the alleged shooting of a man in Limestone last month. Tuggle was arrested in Iowa and awaits extradition back to Kankakee County, according to the Daily-Journal. Charges against Tuggle include attempted murder, home invsion and aggravated battery.  A Kankakee County grand jury indicted Tuggle after an arrest warrant was issued.  He was arrested in Union, Iowa for drug offenses and obstructing identification, according to the Daily-Journal. 

Kankakee County Sheriff Mike Downey confirms Tuggle is accused of shooting a 19-year-old man at a Limestone residence January 27.  The shooting victim remains in a Chicago area hospital.  

Downey said in a news release, he commends the work of law enforcement and the cooperation of the Union, Iowa authorities in apprehending a dangerous individual.
