Danforth family in need of help after Saturday house fire

A Danforth family is trying to rebound from a weekend fire that destroyed their home. The Red Cross and community organizations are collecting household items and clothing for the family of Michael Kietzmann, Tracey York and their three children.

No one was injured. No one was home Saturday when the fire broke out around 8 pm in the 200-block of Central Street. The family was away at the time. A neighbor alerted emergency responders. A family pet was lost in the blaze.

The Danforth Lutheran Church, Iroquois West School District and the The Garage social agency in Gilman are providing help. Gilman and Ashkum Fire provided mutual aid for the Danforth firefighters.

Needed items include:  Mens clothing ... Mens 33 x 32 pants, Mens large shirts, Mens shoes 10.5, Work Boots 10.5 Wide, Mens 34 x 30 pants, Mens L shirts. Mens 9.5 shoes.   Womens Clothing ... XL Tops,Womens 16 pants, Womens size 10 shoes.  Girls Clothes ... 7/8 size pants, 7/8 size tops, size 1 shoes,  Girls size 6 pants, size 6 tops, youth shoes size 12.  Socks are also needed.
