Danforth man killed in Iroquois County crash

79-year-old Lloyd Anderson of Danforth man died last Friday in a two-vehicle accident in rural Iroquois County. Two others were injured, one seriously.

The Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office (Tuesday) identified those involved. A news release stated Anderson was eastbound on County Road 2300 North when he failed to stop at the intersection at County Road 200 East. Anderson’s vehicle struck a southbound vehicle driven by 27-year-old Nicholaus Oliver of Onarga.

Mr. Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Anderson’s passenger, 32-year-old Levi Lewis of Gilman was treated and released with minor injuries.

Oliver was transported to Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. His injuries were described as serious.
Sheriff’s Police ticketed Oliver for driving with a suspended driver’s license and failure to wear a seat belt.

Missouri man dies in Kankakee County crash ---

A 70-year-old Man from Kansas City, Missouri died a traffic accident Tuesday in Kankakee County.  Larry Dollinger was identifed by Illinois State Police.  The crash happened at 3 pm on Route 17 at 10000 W Road.  State Police said the victim's eastbound car crossed into the westbound lane and hit a grain truck head-on.  The grain truck driver, Larry Heagle of Kankakee, was not injured.
