A Route 1 crash Tuesday, between Hoopeston and Rossville, killed a Danville couple.  63-year-old Jerry Crippin and 63-year-old Linda Crippin were pronounced dead at the scene after their Jeep was hit head-on.  Illinois State Police investigated near Vermilion County 4000 North.  The Vermilion County Coroner's Office also investigated. 

State Police reported the Crippins' Jeep was southbound on Route 1, when a northbound pickup truck driven by 25-year-old Joshua Newberry of Hoopeston crossed the center line and struck the Jeep head on.  Newberry was cited for improper lane usage and not wearing a seatbelt. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
