Child hit by car

Danville Police are looking for a hit and run driver who struck a five-year-old boy with a small motorcycle. Police say the boy was hit after he exited a school bus on Garden Drive.

Officers said the stop arm of the bus was activated, and when the child walked across the bus path a small motorcycle, driven by a male with a female passenger, went through the stop arm striking the child.

The impact caused the motorcycle to fall over but the driver and passenger fled the scene. Police have recovered the cycle and are seeking the driver and passenger.

The five-year-old boy was taken to Presence United Samaritans Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries. Anyone who has any information can contact Danville Police.
