Danville Police report one man was killed and another hospitalized the result of a double shooting early Sunday.

The victim is identified as 25-year-old Demaree Tetter of Danville. Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson said Tetter was pronounced dead just past 2 am. An autopsy is planned.

Police investigators reported the shootings occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. after police were called to a fight inside a bar in the 600 block of North Vermilion Street.

The victims were transported to Presence United Samaritans Medical Center. The second man man, who is thirty-five, was treated at the Danville hospital and then transferred to an Urbana hospital for further treatment His wound is not believed to be life-threatening.

No motive for the shooting has been established at this time, according to police.
