Ford County Crime Stoppers welcomes any information the public can provide concerning a weekend shooting in Paxton.  A 19-year-old from Danville was wounded when shot in the head Saturday evening.  The un-identified victim was in stable condition at Carle Hospital in Urbana. 

Paxton Police responded after hearing of the victim from Gibson Area Hospital.  Local officers went to the 600-block of N. American Street where a weapon was found. Police report it was an isolated incident. There is no danger to the public or any threat to the community.   

The Ford County Sheriff’s Office, Gibson City Police Department, and the Illinois State Police continue are investigating.
