An autopsy is scheduled in Kankakee Tuesday on the body of a Man found dead in Kankakee State Park Monday.

Illinois State Police report crime scene investigators confirm a 40-year-old Herscher man's body was found near Rock Creek, just north of a bridge off Route 102. A passing motorist observed a body north of the park's main entrance around 2 pm. The body was found on a bed of rocks in the creek.

The Kankakee County Coroner's office was called to the scene around 2:15 pm.
