The death of a 54-year-old rural Beaverville woman is under investigation in Iroquois County. Diana Hefner was found dead inside a burned vehicle Thursday. Sheriff’s Police report no foul play is suspected. An autopsy was scheduled.

Sherriff’s Police assisted by the Coroner’s Office, the State Fire Marshall and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit conducted a death investigation. Authorities were dispatched to an area at State Line Road in rural Beaverville about 3 pm concerning a vehicle fire. Human remains were discovered inside the vehicle.
