Death investigation in Watseka

A weekend welfare check turned into a death investigation in Watseka.  An autopsy is planned today (Monday) on the body of a 37-year-old man found dead inside the home he lived at on N. 8th Street.  Watseka Police, Illinois State Police, and Iroquois County Coroner Bill Cheatum were called the residence around 1 pm after neighbors saw the man laying oin the floor and didn't respend to knocks on the door.  The man was found unresponsive after family members asked the neighbors to check on the man.  Cheatum said an autopsy will be completed today. 

A search of the home revealed suspicious activity.
