The group. Elite Energy of Decatur, was the judge's choice for grand champion honors at the 2017 Watseka Show Choir Invitational.  The Decatur students, with their show, "Exodus," also earned "Best Choral Sound" and Best Choreography at the weekend show.  

Fourteen high school groups and none junior-high teams participated at Watseka Community High School.

The "GRS Singers" and the "Watseka Sensations" also performed in exhibition.

The Expressions from Buffalo Grove was the runner-up favorites. The Danville Delegation, Manteno Magic and the Wheeling Legacy were also among the top performers.

It was the 39th Annual Swing Choir Competition at Watseka High.
