Investigators in the Delphi, Indiana murder case say they know that a man arrested on molestation charges in Union City looks like the picture of their suspect. But investigators are telling people not to jump to any conclusions.

People started flooding police with comments after 46-year-old Charles Eldridge's mugshot was released earlier this month. He looks similar to the sketch of the suspect in Abby Williams' and Libby German's murders.

But police say this is not the first time someone who looks like their suspect has been brought to their attention, and they are urging people to calm down a bit and let the investigation progress.

Abby and Libby were found murdered on February 14, 2017 when they went hiking along a historic trail in Delphi.
Captain Dave Bursten of the ISP states in a press release, “we know it’s hard for the public and media to resist posting side-by-side comparisons on social media of people alleged to have committed such crimes and also resemble a sketch of the Delphi murder suspect.”
