The Progressive Citizens Party made a statement in Bradley (Tuesday). The Consolidated Election results had candidates making their presence known, defeating incumbents and taking control of the village board.
All four Democrats, including two incumbents were swept from office, giving control to the Progressive Citizens. The new party will hold a 5-1 margin come May 13.
Mayor Bruce Adams and lone Democrat trustee Bob Redmond will face a newly-represented village board.
The soon-to-be-sworn-in Progressive Party winners were Darren Westphal, Brian Billingsley and Ryan LeBran. They join trustee Mike Watson, said to be responsible for organizing the ticket.
Trustee Lori Gadbois lost. So did Trustee Nick Allen and Candice Sylvester.
In the contest for a two-year term, Democrat Sharon Theisen also was defeated making it a clean sweep.
