Dog Treat Recall

A recall has been issued for dog treats sold in Illinois and 18 other states because they might be contaminated with salmonella. A North Carolina company is recalling 16-ounce bags of "Hollywood Feed Carolina Made Chicken Chips" dog treats due to potential contamination. The company said the issue was discovered when testing by a third-party laboratory identified contamination in a related yet unreleased lot of the same product. Salmonella can affect animals eating the product and as well as humans from handling contaminated products.
