Domestic Battery Cases lead to arrests

Two individuals, considered homeless, were arrested by Watseka Police Sunday following a dispue in the 300-block of West Hickory Street.  28-year-old Haley Strong and 32-year-old Jeremy Lehnig were found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for Failing to Appear for Domestic Battery charges.  Both had fled the scene of a dispute, but officers located them a short time later.  The two were housed at the Iroquois County Jail.

In Hoopeston --- Officers were notified about a female being battered and held against her will early Sunday.  Police responded to the 1000-block of Savannah Court  just after 4 am.  An investigation led to the arrest of Stefonce Moffitt of Champaign.  He's now jailed in Vermilion County for Aggravated Domestic Battery and Unlawful Restraint.
