Donovan 5th grader Cas Frey is the 2021 5th-6th grade spelling champion in Iroquois County.  Cas earned the title (Friday), outspelling nine other contestants during the 54th WGFA 5th - 6th Grade Iroquois County Spelling Contest.   The event aired on 94.1 with Morning Host Don Elliott presenting the words.

Second place finisher Noah Brittenham of Milford incorrectly spelled "physical" giving Cas Frey the opportunity to correctly spell physical and then followed with the spelling of "referee"to earn the championship title.

The Iroquois County Retired Teachers Association spnsors the annual event.
