Five Donovan high school students were treated for injuries after a 16-year-old driver of a car rolled the vehicle Friday morning.
Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police responded to the accident in Beaver Township at County Roads 3100 E and 2600 N.
Jordan Cooper of Martinton swerved to miss a deer. Cooper lost control and overturned the car in a ditch. The driver and four student-passengers were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Jordan though, was cited for an Illinois law prohibiting teen drivers from having more than one passenger under the age of 20.
