Residents in east central Illinois were rattled by an earthquake Monday night. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported around 3 miles from Lerna in Coles County. The quake occurred around 11:43 p.m. and was located about 6 miles deep. No damage was reported.
