Area roads are slippery following a heavy snowfall overnight. On average, 1.5 to about 3 inches accumulated in the immediate areas of Iroquois, Ford and parts of Kankakee Counties. More snow is likely today (Monday). Snowplows were out and about ahead of the snow Sunday. Roads were treated to help control the slick conditions. IDOT officials advise motorists to be aware of changing conditions. Some rural roads are a bit more slick than the main routes.
