The Vermilion County Coroner’s office has identified a 4-year-old Westville girl who drowned Wednesday afternoon at a day care south of Tilton.

Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson said Thursday Ryleigh P. Arnett’s cause of death was drowning, according to the preliminary autopsy,

Police reported the girl was swimming in a pool Wednesday afternoon at a state-licensed home day care in the Home Gardens area. That’s an unincorporated residential neighborhood south of Tilton.
