Drug Take-Back Day Saturday

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is tomorrow (Saturday).  The program aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs that may no longer be needed or out-dated.  The program also educates the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Several area police agencies, fire departments, hospitals and even retail outlets welcome your visit to dispose of drugs.  No questions are asked.  The drop-off sites are usually manned from 10 am 'til 2 pm.

The Iroquois County Sheriff's Department will be a drop-off site.  Visitors are asked to use the "West Entrance."  The Northfield Square Mall also has police personnel available from 10 a, 'til 2 pm.
