Drug Take-Back disposes of 500 pounds of old meds

Law enforcement authorities are calling the recent "Drug Take-Back Day" a success.

On Saturday, October 26, 2013, the Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group , Bourbonnais Police Department, Bradley Police Department and the Kankakee Police Department partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. KAMEG Director Aaron Harsy reported that the event was a success and that five hundred and sixty six pounds of unwanted prescription drugs were turned in for disposal in Kankakee County alone.
