Community leaders in Dwight are siding with up to 280 local jobs rather than a couple dozen out-of-town protestors concerning a proposed immigration detention facility. Dwight'sd planning commission voted (Tuesday) to recommend the village work with a developer to site an immigration facility. Some protestors attended a local meeting, saying ICE is immoral and breaks up families. But the company behind the center says their facility will add 20 million dollars to Dwight's tax base and employ up to 300 workers.
