Dwight Police close book on double homicide

The Dwight Police Department has closed the case involving the investigation of the double-murders of Kelli and Donna Denker. The mother-daughter homicide case this past summer rocked the Livingston County community.

Police investigators say it was a Sheridan man, who later committed suicide, who killed the women in their home.

Police ruled 27-year-old Joseph Sipple shot and killed the Denkers and wounded another man. A news release from Dwight Police states all signs show Sipple, allegedly Kelli's ex-boyfriend, "acted alone in this heinous act."

Police said on June 27, Sipple shot and killed himself during a confrontation with police in another case involving property. Sipple killed himself, allegedly using a .40 caliber Glock handgun, the same weapon used in Dwight.
