A severe storm made its way through parts of Illiana early this morning. The storm came with strong winds over 70mph, quarter sized or larger hail, and a high amount of lightning strikes.
Trees and branches were reported down throughout the area as well as several power outages. Hail damage to vehicles was also expected along with wind damage to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
The National Weather Service has extended Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11AM CDT for Grundy and Kankakee Counties in Illinois and Jasper and Newton Counties in Indiana.
