Earth Day events today (Monday, April 22) find several businesses and organizations doing their part to clean up the environment.  The day is set aside annualy to celebrate the effort to keep our environment clean and healthy.  Recycling centers and landfills are promoting the need to dispose of items in an environmentally-friendly way.

Community Shred Day is being promoted by Prospect Bank.  Personal and business papers that need to be shredded can be dropped off between 9a - 3p at Prospect Banks.  Safe and secure shredding will be carried out --  at no charge.

Belson Steel in Bourbonnais is also involved in cleaning up the environment.
