The East Central Illinois Community Action Agency has funds available for income eligible residents of Ford, Iroquois and Vermilion Counties. And the agency is extending hours to help qualified citizens get energy assistance.
Interested parties can reach out to the community action agency offices in Watseka, Paxton or Danville. People should not wait for a DISCONNECT NOTICE. CALL NOW FOR AN APPOINTMENT.
The Iroquois County site in Gilman is at 219 N. Central Street in Gilman. 815-707-5001. The Paxton location in Ford County is at 101 N. Ottawa Road 217-497-2979. In Vermilion County, contact the Danville office at 56 N. Vermilion Street. 217-554-9100.
During the COVID pandemic, customers must stop by the office to schedule an appointment in order to be served. Customers may request a virtual or face-to-face appointment. The program provides eligible individuals and families to receive direct payments toward their energy bills. Citizens should seek help before funds are used up. It’s a first-come first-serve basis.
