The popular Jani Masset & Band performed Friday night in Hoopeston.  It was a 'live' stage event in the ongoing effort to restore the historic Lorraine Theatre.

The Save the Lorraine Foundatioin reports work had progressed enough to allow for the Friday night event.

Jani Massey & Band performed while Craig Massey, Jani's dad, painted a historical portait which was given away at the end of the performance.

The Save the Lorriane Foundation also reports it is extremely pleased with the way the renovation is progressing.  A spokesman said "fantastic volunteers and area businesses have put their hearts and souls into saving our 96-year-old Lorraine Theatre."
