Contested races in Iroquois County (Tuesday) only drew the attention of 13.8% of the voters. Watseka and Clifton offered voters choices for aldermen and trustee seats. Referendum questions were also on the ballot.
Scott Muench defeated Chris Meredith in Watseka's Ward 1 for City Council. Yamei Rohlfs was a winner over Dale Strough in Ward 4. Scott Anderson will fill a 2-year seat in Ward 4. He was un-contested.
Clifton voters chose trustees ... winning seats were Kathleen Dundas, John Tammen and Jeffrey Hall. Voters in Clifton also voed down a Home Rule form of government, 95-80.
Trustee seat for the Crescent-Iroquois Fire Protection District went to Dave Kosik over Tim McClain, 71-63.
Donovan School Board winners includes: Abby Frye, Jennfer Grant and Christopher Brown.
Winners for seats for the Iroquois West School Board were Amy Jo Schunke, Brad Howe, Rodger Bennett and James Schnurr.
