The pilot of s small plane escaped injury Wednesday when an emergency landing took place in a farm field near Bourbonnais.

The plane went down at 4150 West Avenue, according to the Kankakee County Sheriff's Department. The plane was leaking oil and smoking when the pilot brought the vehicle down.
