The Iroquois County Emergency Telephone System Board is meeting today at 4pm to discuss the contract and employment situation of longtime 9-1-1 coordinator Nita Dubble.

The issue was brought up by the Edgar County Watchdogs website owners Kirk Allen and John Kraft. They claim that Dubble’s contract is invalid because the board had no power to enter into a employment contract yet alone a multiyear one and there is no proper vote on record anyways approving the contract.

According to the board’s agenda, the topic will be discussed in an executive session.
