A 58-year-old Marshall County man faces charges in Livingston County for attempting to meet a minor for sexual purposes.  Jonathon Witte of Wenona is also charged with  Indecent Solicitation of a Child and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.  He was jailed on felony charges.  Bond was set at $20,000. 

Witte was arrested by the Fairbury Police Department June 17th. Investigators report Witte allegedly was chatting with an underage female on a social media messaging app since August of 2022. Witte is accused of traveling from Wenona to Fairbury to meet the female, who is under the age of 15 and being portrayed by a law enforcement officer.
